Juan M. Montero, II – Founder/President & Chairman of the Board 
Dr. Juan Montero, II is the Founder and President of Montero Medical Missions. Dr. Montero was born and raised in the Philippines. He is a retired general and non-cardiac thoracic surgeon – specialties he practiced for 35 years in the Hampton Roads area. Dr. Montero is the recipient of numerous awards, honors, citations, and recognition’s among them being the Philippines Presidential Humanitarian [Linkapil] Award, American College of Surgeons Inaugural Surgical Volunteerism Award, Humanism in Medicine Award by Association of American Medical Colleges. He is the founder of the Chesapeake Care Free Clinic, one of the most comprehensive free clinics in the nation. Dr. Montero’s vision for Montero Medical Missions, is that expatriate physicians will now have a ready vehicle for volunteerism to give back to their respective homelands and in so doing, create sustainable healthcare projects.

Vicki Brett – Vice President
Vicki Brett is a Graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in private practice for over 34 years and continues to provide optimal care by volunteering her services in dental clinics and remaining a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Vicki is currently the Director of the Dental Assisting Program at Medical Careers Institute of ECPI University Virginia Beach Campus. She brings her passion of dentistry and promotes others in the field. Vicki Brett has been involved in many Dental Projects in Virginia and abroad providing dental treatment to the underserved and uninsured. She received an Excellence in Community Award from ECPI University. Currently she is an active member of the Legislative Committee for Virginia Oral Health Coalition. Vicki is also the Chair Person of Montero Medical Missions Dental Care Project worldwide. Her leadership in volunteerism at the on-going MMM Health Fare for Veterans is exemplary.

Robert F. Brewer, MD, FACS
Dr. Robert Brewer currently serves as wound care specialist and Part-Plastic Surgeon at the Hampton VA Medical Center after a long carrier as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon both in military and civilian practice.   Following retirement as a Navy Captain he was in private practice for 12 years in Plastic Surgery, followed by 8 years as the medical director of the hyperbaric and wound care center at DePaul Bon Secours medical center.
During his long medical career he served as Specialty Adviser to the Navy Surgeon General as well as Chief of Plastic Surgery and program director for the Navy’s Plastic Surgery residency associated with EVMS.  He has extensive experience in performing consultation, evaluation, supervision, and training medical personal in the art and practice of Plastic Surgery with special interest in wound healing.
Dr. Brewer is a 35 year resident Western Branch where he has demonstrated strong leadership in local civic and humanitarian areas. His community interests include serving as President of the Churchland Rotary Club and active board member of Montero Medical Mission.   He has been a leader and advocate for Boy Scouts of America.  His humanitarian interest also include past board membership in Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless and Oasis Social Ministry both he still supports using Rotary’s National motto of “Service above Self”.

Vince Medina
As a 20-year Navy veteran, retired Chief Petty Officer Vince Medina spent his entire career in the military healthcare system specializing mostly in Radiology services. His passion for caring continued into his second career with the Bon Secours Health System, the largest Catholic Health system in Virginia. Now in his third and final career, Vince owns and operates Age Advantage Senior Care Services, a home care agency committed to finding the best options in keeping your aging loved ones at home. Decades of management and customer service experience have prepared him well to continue this journey of humanitarian philanthropy and sharing of God’s gift to our fellow man. Vince has demonstrated his ongoing volunteerism with numerous MMM fundraisers throughout the years. He is a valued “Mentor” for the P40Network whom his son Scott co-founded. Vince is the Chairman of the semi-annual Health Fair for Veterans, Chairman of the Annual MMM Golf Fundraiser and current President of The Philippine-American Golf Association of Tidewater (PAGAT). “It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve as Active Board Member for Montero Medical Missions”!
